Heavy fog causes flight and ferry disruptions in Bangladesh January 15; additional fog-related transportation disruptions expected in the coming weeks

Warning

Event

Heavy fog resulted in flight disruptions at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) for the seventh consecutive day on Monday, January 15. Disruptions were also reported on Monday on the Shimulia-Kathalbari and Paturia-Daulatdia ferry routes; ferry services on the routes were suspended on Monday morning for eight hours and seven hours, respectively.
