China: Severe weather impacts flights in Sichuan August 6-7

Numerous flights were canceled at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) on the evening of Monday, August 6, stranding hundreds of passengers, due to stormy conditions in Sichuan province that forced CTU to temporarily close its runways. Further rain and flight disruptions were expected August 7.
