Algeria: Railway strike disrupts services November 18

National Company for Rail Transport (SNTF) workers embarked on a strike during the morning hours (local time) on Sunday, November 18, impacting rail services nationwide. According to SNTF officials, workers launched the work stoppage in support of a conductor who was injured after being struck by a thrown rock. Although the strike reportedly ended at 08:00 (local time), local reports indicate significant delays persist on national lines, notably between Algiers and Blida as well as Algiers and Boumerdès.
