Singapore: Roads closures in Marina Centre area Sept. 12-18 for F1 Grand Prix

Singaporean authorities have announced that some roads in the Marina Centre area will be closed September 12-18 for the Formula 1 race. The closures will start at noon on September 12 (local time) and last until 05:30 on September 18. During this period, drivers will have access to the Marina Centre area via a single lane along Raffles Boulevard via Nicoll Highway. However, during morning and evening rush hours, certain roads will be opened to facilitate traffic fluidity. 

On September 14 and 15, trains services will be available at City Hall MRT station until 12:30, and until 12:45 on September 16. Free shuttle buses will be in service between Lavender MRT station and Gate 1 of the race venue.

Context

The Singapore Grand Prix F1 car race takes place September 14-16 on the Marina Bay Street Circuit. In 2017, over 250,000 spectators attended the event.
